Most wood that comes out of standing barns has a moisture content of about 19% - 22%. In order to install this flooring it takes two to three weeks of storage inside the home where the wood will be installed in order to acclimate to the environment. This wood must also me debugged and fumigated in order to make it ready.

In order to speed the installation process and keep the wood chemical free, we offer Kiln Drying services to our clients. Kiln drying wood usually takes less than a week. This wood is then ready to be installed into the home. Kiln drying also helps prevent buckling and keeps the free of any de-bugging chemicals.
